I am a contented person with many interests and am comfortable being by myself. However, I would like to find true happiness and grow old with another person. Life is so beautiful and so much better when it is shared.

My ideal match would have to be: a friend first, caring, honest and committed to a lasting relationship. We would have to have a common thread but have some independent interests so that we can maintain our individual space.
The ideal setting for a first date:
The ideal setting would be any place that was quiet as well as public that would give us a chance to get to know one another.
My favorite hangout or club:
I love to go to the beach. I also like good restaurants and small cafes.
Work:
I started out as a registered nurse. I then went back to school and worked for many years as a technical illustrator/graphic artist. I am now almost at retirement age and work as a nanny to a delightful 5 year old.
What I like to do when I'm not at work:
I like to read, do gourmet cooking, do crossword puzzles, go to museums (art exhibits), play scrabble, listen to classical music, opera, big band and jazz, the ballet occasionally. I also love the beach and boating.
Where I see myself two to five years from now:
I would like to be retired and happily married.
If I could change one thing about myself:
I wish I was better coordinated. I am in awe of people who are good at sports and dance well.
